Nutrition
TURMERIC: Its main benefit comes from its anti-inflammatory qualities due to compounds called curcuminoids - Curcumin is the primary curcuminoid in turmeric and is also the key ingredient responsible for its therapeutic properties. Curcumin is also a strong antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals and stimulate the body’s own antioxidant mechanisms.
It is good to note that Curcumin, on its own, is not easily absorbed in the body. It is recommended that to maximize absorption, Turmeric should be consumed with small amounts of black pepper, in a dish/meal with healthy fats (olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, etc).
